What is the Bull Magnet®?

Made in the USA, the Bull Magnet® is a durable, synthetic megaphone that serves five important functions useful for calling moose. It can also be effective on other prey species and a variety of predators.

    1. Call – The Bull Magnet® amplifies and adds a nasal quality to man-made cow calls and bull grunts. It can also be used to amplify and improve the sound of reed calls.
    1. Thrash – Raking brush and striking dead tree trunks (especially spruce) with the Bull Magnet®, will deliver a sound that closely mimics the sounds made by bulls when they scrape their velvet off and when they fight.
    1. Listen – Listening through the Bull Magnet® will significantly increase your ability to hear responding and approaching bulls. Just put the small end to your ear and point the large end in the direction you wish to hear better from.
    1. Flash – Because they are similar in color to natural antlers, flashing (waving) the Bull Magnet® can be an effective visual aid to help draw closer or approach an interested bull.
    1. Scoop and drain water – When hunting near lakes, rivers and ponds and while waiting for bulls to approach, occasionally scoop and drain water from your Bull Magnet®. It will sound like a cow urinating and will further encourage any approaching bulls to investigate your position.

Bull Magnets® are extremely tough and are only meant to be used as described above; common-sense use is always encouraged.

 WARNING: Rutting bull moose can be dangerous!  Stay alert and always use extreme caution when calling moose, because interested bears and other predators often respond too. We strongly advise that you also wear some outer clothing that is bright red or hunter orange for added safety.

2025 – Hi Wayne…We had a great time hunting moose in Alaska this year.  We did a first time DIY trip, me with a longbow and my partner with a rifle.  I had opportunity but kept getting busted by swirling wind.  My partner shot a small bull on day 9 of our hunt, dropping it 30 yards from our tent. Your Bull Magnet worked great!  I had purchased it and brought it with me.  We also made a second, make-shift call by rolling up a plastic / pliable cutting board into a megaphone shape and taping together.  Your call was by far superior, with better volume, tone, and cast, so we quickly ditched the other. In 9 days of hunting, we had 9 bulls around us… 6 within site.  Your call brought 5 of them within rifle range.  All-in-all not bad for a couple of first time moose hunters. Thank you for your great product.  We’ll look forward to using again on future hunts and applying what we learned from our first trip.
